Ascension Collects A Garden of Vegetables
Members of the parish are now collecting cans of vegetables in a continuing effort to stock the Cranston Food Pantry with nourishing food.
A Thanks for Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper
Thank You to all the members who worked so hard to put the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper together, all those who entertained us with their talent, and all those who joined us for supper and fellowship. It was a terrific and well attended event, and a good example of a unified Ascension family.
Ascension Joins with 4 Cranston Episcopal Parishes for Wednesdays in Lent
You are invited to join our Cranston neighbors for 4 programs in Lent. Each program will begin at 6 and close at 8 as we convene for a simple meal of soup and salade and share a topic to help focus our attention on our faith and spiritual growth.
- Wednesday March 7th at The Church of the Ascension: Share the Faith, Build the Church- led by the Rev. Mercedes Julian as she shares her marvelous gift of living our faith with joy, letting it shine for others, and inviting others into the celebration of Christ on Earth.
- Wednesday March 14th at St David's on the Hill: A romp Through St. Mark
- Wednesday March 21st at Trinity, Pawtuxet Village: Dr Vance Morgan, essayist and Professor of Philosophy will lead Discussion and Reflection on his provocative essays
- Wednesday March 28th from 6-8 at The Church of the Transfiguration: An Intergenerational Peace for Lent program of crafts and activities
We hope you will join us for all or any part of these programs. If you need help with transportation, please contact the church office and we will try to assist you with a ride from a neighbor.
